each point of light is a star (sans the glowy moon). if you look closely, you'll see each star has its own hue; some reddish, some blue, some more yellow like our own sun. the photons that from those stars were emitted millions of years ago, travelled billions of miles at the speed of light, and collided with my image sensor in the 30 second window that my shutter was open.
